Day 1: Arrival / Chengdu |
Arrive
in Chengdu. Met at the airport.
Visit Wuhou temple, the memorial
shrine to Zhugeliang- the Prime
Minister and Liubei the King of
Shu kingdom. |

Day 2: Chengdu / Kangding
(336km) |
Drive
to Kangding via Ya’an. The
ride is comfortable in the morning
but will getting tougher in the
afternoon. You’ll pass Erlang
mountain-the first pass of the
countless high mountains on the
Sichuan-Tibet highway.
You
will arrive at Kangding-the capital
city of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous
Prefecture. After dinner, enjoy
the hot spring at Erdaoqiao.

Day 3: Kangding / Yajiang
(122km) |
In
the early morning, visit Anjue
monastery-the very first Tibetan
monastery on this trip, an rare
chance to see their morning ceremony
per day!
Today
you’ll pass the 4218m Zheduo
mountain to Xinduqiao-the photographer’s
paradise. Our driver has taken
countless professional cameramen
to this place in the past decade,
knows many unknown places to make
good pictures. After lunch, another
75km ride to Yajiang County (2600m).

Day 4: Yajiang / Litang
/ Daocheng (220km) |
Today
we drive to Daocheng via Litang.
In the morning we'll pass two
4300m high mountains-the Jianziwan
& Kazila mountain. Lunch at
Litang . With its 4010m altitude,
the county is with no doubt the
highest one in the world. In addition
to its beautiful scenery &
spectacular local Tibetan customs,
another tourist attraction is
the Hose-racing Festival in every
August. Therefore, if you are
here at the very right time, you'll
never miss the chance for the
hose-racing & dressing show.
How can you refuse the attraction?
Another
146km ride to Daocheng will be
continued after the visit to a
Tibetan monastery. Daocheng is
a county that you will enjoy because
of its rich soil & Tibetan
culture. And a good place for
recharging yourself before Yading.
You may relax yourself by bathing
at the hot spring & the Tibetan
local dancing show. This is why
you stay at the local family.
No need to worry about the condition
of the Tibetan traditional houses
they are even much better than
the hotels or guest houses in
town.
Daocheng
county is of mountain plateau,
including the Bowa Moun-tain and
the Chitu River. On both banks
of the river are broad pastures
and stretches of forest. Mt. Bowa,
grand and scenic,is sharply distinct
during the four seasons: in spring
and summer, azleas bloom to vie
each other for beauty, in autumn,
leaves as red as flame cover the
trees, while in winter, snow clothes

Day 5: Daocheng / Yading
(110km) |
You'll
get up early for a 110km ride
to Yading as the road condition
from Riwa tp Yading is bad, and
what is more important is you
still will tour the Yading Valley.
One more thing will amaze you
in spite of the view is the our
young kids. Whenever you pass
by, they will stop by the road
& solute to you!!! This must
be their way to greet our tourists.
So please prepare some small gifts
for them.
After
reach Yading, you'll enjoy the
2-hour-horse ride to Luorongniuchang
and anther 2-hour-ride back to
Chonggu monastery. We would like
you enjoy the ride but please
walk for a while sometime during
the horse-riding as you may not
able to walk!!! Another chance
to stay at the local family tonight
but it might not has the same
good condition as Daocheng¡'s.
However, we have this arrangement
is because overnight in tents
is not good and we don't want
you getting cold. |

Day 6: Yading / Daocheng
/ Yajiang |
Today
you start driving back to Daocheng
for some other visits the monasteries,
the white birch forest, etc. Then
keep on driving to Yajiang.

Day 7: Yajiang / Tanggong
/ Danba (220 km) |
Today
you'll drive on the Northern Route
of Sichuan-Tibet High way. You
first drive to Tagong grass land
via Xinduqiao. The scenery is
absolutely fabulous! You may have
a yak ride on the grass land after
the visit of a monastery. And
may be a picnic?
After
a 113km drive, you will arrive
at Danba---a county where you
may see different Tibetan people.
Because the local Tibetans here
are called “Jiarong Tibetan”.
This is what you come here for.
Furthermore, you may have the
very good chance to enjoy the
Jiarong Tibetan customs &
stock house slides show by the

Day 8: Danba / Rilong
|
Today’s
tour might be the highlight of
your trip. You will have a half-day-tour
at the local Jiarong Tibetan family.
People here are most friendly
& hospitable.
We
arrange the visit at Jiaju Village
because of its scenery & architecture
charm the visitors at home and
abroad. The sky towering thousand-years
old Diaos (stock house) are the
unique landscape on your way.
Arrive Rilong County via Xiaojin
County at the foot of Siguniang
Mountain. |

Day 9: Rilong / Mt. Siguniang |
Siguniang
Mountain is reputed as the Oriental
Alps. We will visit Changping
Gully and Double Bridge Gully
on foot or by horse. |

Day 10: Rilong / Chengdu |
Cross
over Balang Mt. (4230 m elevation),
to Wolong Gaint Panda Natural
Reserve, visit Gaint Panda Museum,
pass Minjiang Valley and Dujiangyan
Irrigation System, back to Chengdu. |

Day 11: Chengdu / Depart
|
Transfer
to airport for flight to next
destination. Tour Ends. |
