Day 1: Arrival in Kunming |
Arrival
in Kunming, then transfer to your
hotel. According to the time available
and your interests, visit Kunming
Bamboo Temple, Western Hills
or Golden
Temple. In the evening, we
strongly advice you to take part
of the fantastic and colorful
dancing and singing show "Yunnan
Dynamic" (20:00-21:40), which
is a perfect introduction to the
Yunnan minorities. |

Day 2: Kunming - Stone Forest
- Jianshui |
Today
drive to Jianshui. On the way
you will stop at the Stone
Forest. After visiting this
extraordinary sight, you will
continue driving towards Jianshui.
Overnight in the Zhu Family Garden,
a fantastic traditional Chinese
residence. |

Day 3: Jianshui - Yuanyang |
In
the morning, visit Jianshui old
town and Confucius temple (the
second biggest Confucius temple
in China). Drive to Yuanyang in
the afternoon. You can stop on
the way to visit some minorities
Yi and Hani villages. On arrival
in Yuanyang, it time permits,
we sunset at the fantastic Bada
rice terraces. |

Day 4: Yuanyang |
Enjoy
the sunrise on DuoYiShu rice terraces.
Visit and walk in the rice terraces
and several traditional Hani and
Yi villages, like Jingkou village.
According to the day of your visit,
attend a local Yi and Hani market.

Day 5: Yuanyang – Jinping
- Mengla |
Transfer
in the morning to the South towards
Jinping. Immersion in the local
ethnic variety with the visit
of the Yi Minority Maanshan village,
Hani minority Malutang village
and Red Yao minority Xinzhai village,
all situated in the surroundings
of Jinping. In the afternoon,
road to Mengla and your hotel
DaiYuan, composed from small pretty
chalets some drinks and bamboo
on piles of the Dai style, in
the middle of a greenery tropical
case. |

Day 6: Mengla – Sapa or
Jianshui |
In
the morning, visit Dai village
on the banks of the Mengla river,
then hot sources of Pu’er,
close to the Dai village of Jiumeng.
You can soak up in a small private
hut there. After the lunch, transfer
towards the city border of Hekou
to go to the Vietnam and the city
of Sapa or take the train for
Hanoi, or return towards Jianshui
through a long trip by car. Arrive
in the evening in Jianshui, direct
transfer to Zhu Family Garden. |

Day 7: Jianshui - Kunming |
If
time permits, visit Zhang Family
Garden at Tuanshan village, and
the Double Dragon Bridge. Then
drive back to Kunming. You can
stop on the way to some villages
as you want (especially Xingmeng
Mongolian village, Hexi Hui Muslim
village and Liuyi village where
the women kept the tradition of
foot-binding). On arrival in Kunming,
why don’t you relax in your
hotel’s swimming pool, or
get pleasure from a good soothing
massage? Free evening in Kunming.
