The Yadan Geological National Park, located near the town of Dunhuang in Gansu Province, is a huge desert of sand and rock formed by wind erosion millions of years ago.The varied forms of natural rocks and other very singular forms are amazing and evoke for some a lunar landscape, in the heart of Yadan National Park.Yadan National Park is about 200km from Dunhuang. Its visit is a day trip possible from Dunhuang, with on the way the possible visits of an ancient section of the great wall of China, which dates from the Han Dynasty, and the pass of Yumen or the jade gate.
