Lukong

Built in the 15th century on the banks of the Laixi River, the old village of Lukong, which contains guilds from Hunan and Canton Provinces, the ancestors temple of the Zhao family, an Erya academy, is one of the top ten Old villages famous of the Chongqing region.Compared to other old villages of South Sichuan, the village of Lukong is more authentic and cultural, and not yet really touristy.Under the Qing, in the 19th century, the village was a port used for the transportation of honey, an imperial homage, as well as for the transport of other goods.
