Hong Kong – Guilin – Ping’an – Dazhai – Yangshuo – Xingping – Yangdi – Guilin – Hong Kong
Our trip with our two daughters was a great success and everything went absolutely to plan. The choice of itinerary and activities was perfect, as were the hotels. The Secret Garden is really charming with extremely dedicated staff. And this old village under renovation was obviously much more typical than a noisy hotel in Yuanshuo. The 4/5 hour hike from Ping’an, a strikingly beautiful village with slate roofs and wooden houses, will remain a great memory. The mist rising over the terraced rice fields to make way for the sun is magical. The villages you pass through remain unchanged, the cemeteries in the countryside and the friendly peasants you meet. I think that if there was something to change it would perhaps be a longer bike ride along the Ylong river. Finally, I’d like to congratulate you on your choice of driver and, above all, your guide Bastien, a young man who loves his region, has a keen interest in local history, particularly that of the ethnic minorities, is a Francophile, intelligent and always helpful and even-tempered. I hope that his dream of seeing the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre will come true one day.
Thank you again for this wonderful family trip that you organised so perfectly. We really recommend it. Especially for people like us who came from Hong Kong. What a change of scenery just 1 hour 40 minutes by plane from Hong Kong!
