For more information, please contact one of our China Roads advisors.
For trips of more than 30 days in China, the procedure below remains valid:
Apply for a visa to China
It is mandatory to obtain a visa before your arrival in China.
Documents to provide:
- Your passport, valid for at least 6 months after the visa application date, with at least 2 blank pages facing each other.
- A photocopy of your passport
- A passport photo
- Your plane tickets, with the dates of entry and exit from the country
- Your hotel reservations
- A tour certificate, which will be provided to you by your China Roads advisor
- Your bank statements for the last three months or your last 3 bank statements showing an amount greater than €1,000 or a work or education certificate
- A certificate of travel insurance
Tourist visa price: €126 if you apply at one of the Chinese visa application centers in Paris, Marseille, Lyon or Strasbourg (€60 consular fee + €66 service fee).
Fingerprinting is no longer required to obtain a visa for China
An alternative: the e-visa
Another solution: a China e-visa without fingerprints, which you can obtain through our agency (for trips confirming a tour with us).
For our customers, the entire process is very easy to complete online by sending us just the following 2 documents:
- Color photocopy of the passport page
- A color passport photo
The advantages: no appointment to make at the consulate, no passport to send and very easy entry for individuals or groups with a very limited number of documents.
However, with the e-visa, only one entry is possible during the stay of 60 days maximum and no extension is possible on site.
The application must be made for a minimum of two people traveling together (entry and exit of all persons mentioned on the visa) and can be made several months in advance. You will receive by UPS or Fedex the official visa from China on A4 sheet (flying visa) by express mail between 8 and 10 days before the actual departure for an order made at least 20 days before departure.
