The Guanzhong Folk Art Museum is the first non-governmental museum specialising in the preservation of folk art in China. This museum has a history of more than 20 years with collections of folk art that date back to several dynasties. In particular, there are collections of 40 old houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties and more than 8,600 old stone horse binding posts. These precious collections are ancient witnesses of Chinese life and culture, a veritable “collection of genes of national culture” and a bank of specimens of “precious treasures of humanity”.This museum houses an eclectic collection of more than 33,600 objects. 8,600 carriage posts with bright stone carvings and figurines on top of each rock delicate stone carvings, carvings, brick engravings, wood block prints, shadow puppets, antique furniture, wooden windows, door with engravings, court houses of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
