Guiyang – Fenghuang – Danian – Zhaoxing – Longji – Guilin – Yangshuo
“Regarding our trip to China this summer, it can be summed up in one word: fantastic.
No problems with the organization: the guides/drivers were always there, all the trains were on time (that’s a change from France…).
We appreciated the balance between “guided” time and “just us” time.
The accommodations were very good. We loved the chic side of the accommodations in Fenghuang and Zhaoxing as much as the super-cool rustic side of the Danian hostel.
Special mention “family favorite” for:
– The two Miao ladies who hosted us and cooked in Danian. Adorable and so authentic!
– Zhaoxing: the village, the accommodation, the environment
– The exceptional rice field landscapes
– The amazing sugar loaves around Yangshuo – we had seen them a thousand times on postcards, but “for real” it changes everything
The guides were very attentive. François’ French is impressive; we could hardly believe he had never lived in France!
Finally, we were lucky with the weather. Barely a few drops of rain the first few days, then pleasant weather, warm but not overwhelming.
Anyway, thank you for everything. We’ll definitely want to come back to China to explore new provinces in the coming years, and we’ll let you know.
See you soon!”
