Beijing – Great Wall of China – Guilin – Chengyang – Ping’an – Yangshuo

Back in France after a wonderful trip to China, here is our feedback on the trip:
We were completely satisfied with the services we received.
First of all, the part towards the Great Wall of China with trek from Gubeikou to Jinshaling, we will keep a very great memory of this walk even if we were happy to arrive in this heat. The farmer of Gubeikou was great even if we could not communicate verbally. The comfort in Gubeikou at this person’s house was also very good (the only thing missing was towels in the bathroom). It was also difficult to understand each other for the evening meal, it would have been better to have full board with evening meal and breakfast the next day.
A small downside was the driver who didn’t speak a word of English.
The Beijing agency was very good and sorted out the small problem with the train tickets without any impact on our trip.
For the Guilin part: Night at the Eva Inn: very good The next day, our guide François did a good job despite the problem of the blocked road and the impossibility of going to the village of Chengyang. François did what he could to offer us alternative visits with varying degrees of success. We really appreciated the invitation to the Sanjiang show as compensation. Hotel in Sanjiang (river view) satisfactory but not more. Ping’an: Liquing hotel very good, walks to Dazhai and Lonji very good too. Yangshuo: night at the Secret Garden: Very good
In conclusion, we are really very satisfied with the service.
