Beijing – Xi’an – Chengdu – Leshan – Guiyang – Chongqing – Guilin
A wonderful trip, from which I bring back many beautiful memories now back on French soil.
Many thanks to the entire China Roads team, with a special mention to Shanshan, without whom this trip would not have been as enjoyable, smooth and simply incredible (thank you Shanshan!!).
I actually set off on this twenty-day trip alone (meeting up with friends here and there). I already had a rough idea of destinations in mind, but using China Roads made things much easier. We discussed the cities I wanted to visit, my budget, the tourist sites I wanted to visit in particular, with or without a guide… Booking trains, hotels, but also having someone to contact on Chinese soil who I could count on in case of problems or questions was really reassuring.
During this January period, I was lucky enough to be able to visit tourist sites without too many crowds, it was really pleasant. Xi’an with its army of terracotta soldiers and its beautiful fortifications remains my favorite part of this trip. I also met wonderful people there (a little thought for Shanshan and her family).
All in all, this trip went by very quickly (too quickly even), but I made the most of it and I am very satisfied with my trip and the services of China Roads, which were really there from start to finish! (Shanshan even helped me with train reservations to make a detour to Chongqing before going to Guilin after a last-minute decision on my part, I salute their responsiveness and their adaptability to the schedule already in place!).
