Le Guern family – Guangxi & Guizhou (8 days)

Guilin – Xingping – Yangshuo – Chengyang – Zhaoxing – Ping’an

A week after my return to France (Brigitte and I went home on the 10th, my sister is staying with her daughter in Hong Kong until Christmas), I’d like to tell you how delighted we were with our eight-day trip to Guangxi province, and to express my warmest thanks:

– to you first and foremost, for organising this trip, which lived up to our expectations and enabled us to discover some sumptuous landscapes and appreciate the kindness of the local people; the programme was judicious and we have no comments to make;

– to our two guides, both the 1st, whose name I have not remembered, who accompanied us for the first 2 days and whom we appreciated despite our limited knowledge of English, and Line (I’ll write it in French), whom we will remember with great fondness; she demonstrated her professionalism through her knowledge, her availability, her constant willingness to listen and her initiative in modifying the programme (in particular for the hike around Zhaoxing organised in the morning rather than the afternoon and the change of route for the ascent to Ping’An);

– the driver, whose driving skills we appreciated on the sometimes difficult roads, in particular the climbs to Xhaoxing (and back) and Ping’An, and his availability; despite the language barrier, we managed to communicate with him.

I won’t hesitate to recommend your agency to others and, why not, to call on you for my next trip to Yunnan in China.

I’m planning to write about our stay on a blog, and I’ll let you know the references when it’s done.

Thanks.

Brigitte, Geneviève and Yves
