Shanghai – Beijing – Muraille de Chine – Xi’an – Lijiang – Shangri La – Dali – Guilin – Ping’an- Yangshuo – Shanghai
Hello Paul,
We would like to thank you for the organisation of the tour, the quality of the people we met and the choice of hotels, which suited us and helped us recharge our batteries during this magnificent trip.
Step by step we can detail our feelings.
Beijing: Huang, our competent and calm guide, gave us a wonderful introduction to the city and its treasures. The Bambou Garden hotel was pleasant and well located.
Xian: Shan, a cheerful and dynamic guide, gave us everything we needed to understand the famous site of the Terracotta Army.
Lijiang: The Zen Garden is a beautiful house full of character with a wonderful view. The lake of the black dragon superb ballade. We were a little put off by the crowds and noise in town, but it’s a wonderful memory.
Shangri la: Daniel, our attentive and competent guide, accompanied us through the wonders of Yunnan. We’ll always remember our encounters with local people and the good-natured atmosphere. Our driver, Mr Ma, was discreet and smiling. Hazel Tibethan is a guest house that delighted us.
Dali: nice walk to the ‘fabrique des batiques’! The banks of Lake Erhai are very touristy! But what a pleasant and organic lunch with the locals.
We stayed at the Hôtel Ferry land, a beautiful Chinese house that was rather noisy and moderately comfortable. The upkeep and breakfast left something to be desired. The mini bus journey to Kunming was very long!
Guilin: pleasant guide Sophie Comfortable hotel.
Ping an: Incredible site. Star wish hotel friendly and original. The rice fields lived up to our wishes….
Yangshuo: a beautiful trip on the River Li! Magnificent sight! River side hotel well located but very average.
Today we have precious memories of these discoveries and of the faultless organisation that enabled us to experience them all. We’ll be sure to pass on your contact details to anyone who might be interested in a similar trip.
