Beijing – Great Wall of China – Datong – Pingyao – Zhengzhou – Luoyang – Shaolin – Xi’an – Ping’an – Yangshuo – Beijing
Hello Jérémy,
We really enjoyed this trip, and Lucie, our eldest daughter, was able to see her country of birth.
Of the 6 guides, 3 had an excellent level of French and were very pleasant. (We even exchanged email addresses with 2 of them). Of the other 3 guides, 2 were very helpful and friendly despite their poor level of French.
We also want to pay tribute to the guides who accompanied us on long car journeys that they had to repeat in the other direction after us.
We only have one comment regarding the deplorable and contemptuous behavior of the driver in Xi’an, a woman who received us very badly at the airport where we found her near a secondary exit and who paid us no attention, unlike the other drivers who were very helpful.
In terms of hotels, the two upgraded hotels were not pleasant; on the other hand, our girls really liked the Red Lantern House in Beijing, the hotel in Ping Yao and the hotel in Ping An (excellent for meeting other tourists, very friendly staff, small courtyard, etc.).
The Luoyang hotel was borderline in terms of cleanliness, noise and poor breakfast (e.g. very diluted fruit juice…). Not recommended!
The meals were always very good except on two occasions where the quality was average (notably vegetarian meals in Shaolin where hygiene was questionable). Otherwise, thanks to the guides, we were able to taste different culinary dishes or specialties from each region.
We really enjoyed seeing different landscapes and discovering all the sites on offer.
It was also an experience to take the plane and discover the Chinese TGV.
Thank you again for organizing our trip, we will not fail to contact you again for a future trip and to recommend you to our friends.
Sincerely
Mr and Mrs Michalet
