Ramparts of Xi’an City
Xi’an is one of the few Chinese cities to have preserved, for the most part, its ancient walls. The walls were built on the foundations of the Forbidden City Tang, under the reign of Hongwu, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty. The ramparts are 12 m high, 14 m wide and up to 18 m on the ground. They form a circumference of 14 km long. The most fun is to cycle around, you can rent a bike at each entrance.
