It’s true that there are a lot of people in Tianmen and Zhangjiajie, but they are exceptional sites. The heat made it a bit difficult for me to adapt, given my recurring health problem (migraine), but the guide helped me a lot.
The only thing to note was the somewhat stressful transit time upon arrival at Changsha station to find the right driver: not at the same exit as us and without a sign with our name on it.
