Program: Kunming – Jianshui – Yuanyang – Dali – Xizhou – Weishan – Shaxi – Shangri La – Tiger Leaping Gorge – Wumu – Baoshan – Lijiang – Chengdu
Hello,
We really enjoyed this trip to Yunnan, thanks to its varied landscapes, its inhabitants, the welcome both in the lodges and in the villages and more…
If you want, you can review the elements that make up this trip:
Our guides: Fanzi (I don’t know how to spell it!!) excellent, discreet, fluent in French, easy to adapt, listened to our comments and made sure to respond to our requests. The same for Chendug although Olivia was not aware of the day’s program, however she was able to do what was necessary to meet our expectations
Transport: very comfortable bus at the beginning of the trip, less so for the second part but we understood the constraints. A lot of time on the bus (but how else could we do it?), which allowed us to see the landscapes and get a better idea of the region. (this region is very impressive)
Accommodation: very satisfactory, lots of charm, perhaps just a small downside for the accommodation in Yuanyang although the welcome was warm
Cultural discoveries and heritage: Very satisfying, meeting with these different minorities, these temples, these monasteries except the one in Shangri La (this is just a personal point of view), varied visits-walks-hikes, well adapted to the circuit and very interesting.
It has been found that some old towns look similar
We enjoyed spending 3 nights in Wumu.
Food: Excellent and well-prepared, we watched Fanzi choose the different dishes and describe them to us at the table.
During our trip, I had the impression that it was well thought out and well organized (control of past tenses and calibrated schedules)
Sincerely,
Pascale and François
