The show The Great Qin

Immersive show on the Qin Dynasty

The Great Qin (chinese name “jiujiu da qin”) is a large‑scale immersive stage show in Xi’an focused on the rise of the Qin dynasty and its soldiers. The production mixes acting, massive sets, projections and sound design to recreate key moments of the first unified empire, in a purpose‑built theatre.

Our local travel consultant saw it with her son and found it excellent overall – strong music, dynamic staging and a clear storyline if you understand the language. It works well as an evening activity after a day at the terracotta warriors or the Xi’an city wall.

Key practical info before you book

    • duration : around 75–80 minutes, no intermission.
    • language : all dialogues are in chinese, with no on‑screen subtitles.
    • headsets : translation headsets are available for rent. according to recent ticketing information, english is available, and some providers list extra languages, but on site you should plan for english first.
    • children : some sellers mention no entry for children under 5, and full‑price tickets from 6 years old. Let us know if you travel with young kids so we can re‑check current rules.

If you don’t speak chinese or english, you will miss parts of the story, but the visuals and music are still impressive. We usually present this show as an optional highlight rather than a must‑do.
