Laozhai Mountain stands at an altitude of more than 300 meters above the port of the village of Xingping halfway between Guilin and Yangshuo. 1,149 steps lead to the summit where you will have one of the most beautiful views of the meanders of the Li rivers, only rivaled by the Xiangongshan viewing platform. In the morning, you can take beautiful pictures of the sunrise in the east and the misty Li River in the west. In the afternoon (on the video), you can watch an unforgettable sunset in the west (on a clear day!).Entrance is free and the climb requires about 40 minutes, quite tiring and steep, semi-furnished, on a path made up of large stone steps and by ladders when approaching the summit. Not recommended if it is raining or if it is too wet, some parts are without protective barriers and can be slippery. Anyway if the weather is bad the view will be nonexistent.
