Yangshuo Cycling Tours Overview

Bike tour along the Yulong River (about 43 kms)

From Yangshuo take the small paths along the Yulong River, through sleepy hamlets, to the preserved old village of Jiuxian. Lunch in an old traditional house, then continue to the 400-year-old Dragon Bridge (also called Yulong Bridge). Crossing the river for a return on the other side which allows to join Moon-Hill. Walking tour of Moon-hill, (optional) about 1h30 to get on and off, then return to Yangshuo by bike by road.

Bike ride to Liugong Village (about 40 kms)

From Yangshuo follow the course of Li River on country roads to the 800-year-old Liugong Fisherman Village. Near the discovery village of the famous three ponds of three colors (not always the case) that inspired a local legend. A little further (on foot) beautiful view of Li River from the top of a cliff. Lunch on the pier of the village near a pagoda gate of the Ming Dynasty offering beautiful views of the river and karst peaks. Nice view too of a newer buddhist temple hanging on the cliff. Return by another path that leads to Moon Hill. Walking tour of Moon-hill, (optional) about 1h30 to get on and off, then return to Yangshuo by bike by road.NB: The return by Moon-Hill for one or the other of the two trips is optional. Otherwise remove 15 km. The move to Moon-hill could be replaced by a hot-air balloon flight to Yangshuo at the end of the day which offers a superb view of the countryside, and complete with Liu San Jie’s Yangshuo show.
