The Coloane Village is a perfect getaway to escape the “urban” side of Macau. Located in the south of the region, the village was a pirate landmark. But don’t worry, it’s a peaceful village today. ;)With its street names and colorful streets, it’s almost like a small Portuguese town. Indeed, the Chinese presence is discreet, and here we find a unique and authentic atmosphere.Have a walk on the small square of the church, before enjoying, on the terrace, a good little local dish. You can then relax in the large park, green lung of Macau, then continue your visit by the chapel of St. Francis Xavier. Be sure to visit the many temples of the village, such as Tam Kong, where you can see a whalebone dragon boat.
