Presentation of the city of Xitang
Located at one hour’s drive north-east of Wuzhen, Xitang is a small water town with a large and interesting tourist area crossed by several canals. Some dwellings date from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The tourist activity is developing only in recent years, so it is really nice to walk there, especially since the site is really extensive.Succession of shops, restaurants, small snacks, Xitang is a small labyrinth that has a hundred bridges and many channels.The entrance ticket allows to visit different houses, monuments or crafts workshops, but only one visit per person.

Plan 1 or 2 days for the visitChinese Name: Xītáng gǔzhèn jǐngqū – 西塘古镇景区Ticket price: 100¥, the ticket gives the right to visit 11 attractions.Opening hours:- Monday to Friday: 07:30 to 17:30 (7:30am to 5:30pm)- Saturday and Sunday: 07:30 to 18:30 (7:30am to 6:30pm)Tip: Part of the village is very festive in the evening, do not hesitate to entertain and spend the night in one of the small hotels that can be found in a quiet part of the village.
